Sponsor the Massachusetts Patient Advocacy Alliance in 2020

The Massachusetts Patient Advocacy Alliance (MPAA) represents the coalition which drafted and passed the medical marijuana ballot question in 2012 and we remain the primary voice of medical marijuana patients at the local, state, and national level within the Commonwealth.  Sponsorships go directly towards supporting our ongoing mission of creating safe access to our medical program for patients, caregivers, and physicians that is managed by the MA Cannabis Control Commission. We developed our sponsorship program because we want to recognize those organizations and businesses that support our mission.  We also want our supporters to utilize organizations and businesses that are supporting MPAA.  Our "Access" event series will give your organization or business exposure in the patient community. Please note: corporate donations are in exchange for Advertising Only (ie. Listing on Events, Webpage, and Materials.)

Massachusetts Patient Advocacy Alliance relies on individual and corporate donors to support our mission. Please make a donation today to support our ongoing mission of creating safe access to our medical program for patients, caregivers, and physicians.

WHY SPONSOR MPAA IN 2020?

  1. MPAA can help coordinate patients and consumers to attend Community Outreach Hearings required under adult use regulations for marijuana establishments.
  2. We work with local and state governmental bodies to ensure the social welfare of medical marijuana patients, doctors, caregivers, medical professionals, advocates and the general public while developing and implementing laws, policies and regulations related to medical marijuana and its safe use.
  3. Even as the state moves forward with registering dispensaries to operate, many cities and towns are opposed to having registered marijuana dispensaries (RMD/CMOs) or ancillary cannabis businesses locating in their communities. MPAA is here to protect patients, RMD/CMOs, applicants, and other ancillary cannabis businesses from these vulnerabilities. We are the only statewide organization dedicated to medical marijuana reform, and our expertise in policy, public relations, organizing and campaigning is proven.

  4. Sponsorship for an "Access" Event is separate from Monthly Sponsorships. Prices for "Access" Event Sponsorships are as follows: Non-Sponsors & 2020 Bronze Level Sponsors: $500 for a single event, 2020 Silver Level Sponsors: $300 for a single event, 2020 Gold, Platinum, and Partner Sponsors FREE for a single event.  Please note: Educational Events are not Organizational Fundraisers and are not included.

How does MPAA support the Medical Program's participating RMD/CMOs, applicants, and operators?

We organize patients and supporters: MPAA brings patients, caregivers, and providers to the table to work to implement and improve the medical marijuana laws and regulations as well as attending hearings with local patients to testify on behalf of patients' interest while educating the public and local government.

We use the media: We change public perception of medical marijuana by developing effective spokespeople and coordinating public messaging with overall policy and education goals in all media outlets - TV, radio, print, social media, and other web-based publications. MPAA gets the message out.

We build coalitions: We educate the medical and public health communities to remove the stigma around the use of cannabis as medicine. We work with non-profits to identify possible allies and make sure that their support is used most effectively in our outreach campaigns.

We educate policy makers: We assist patients visiting their elected officials, organize individuals, and public health groups to participate in public hearings, organize letter writing and phone calls with patients and allies in key legislative areas.
